The Psvane 12AU7-S is part of their new Art Series from Psvane. The much loved 12AU7-T MKII has been upgraded with better materials to improve the sound. You can expect a very rich, detailed and warm sound from these tubes; even better than its predecessor.
A Note on Psvane Packaging & Matching
You are most likely familiar with seeing Psvane tubes sold in proprietary Psvane packaging, factory tested, and/or matched in pre-made sets. In order to provide a wider variety of sets (including singles), we hand-test and match all models that we carry in-house. We test and/or match by Gm, Ip (plate current) and/or gain with a maximum range of +/- 15% on modern Maxi-Matcher testers. While 15% is our maximum, we strive for 5% when possible. This ensures that we are able to match to our high standards. These tubes come boxed individually.

Psvane 12au7-s
I currently have a Black Ice Audio F-35 Integrated amplifier,Black Ice Audio Fusion DAC Transport and a Black Ice Audio SS-X Sound stage expander.15 tubes in all. I replaced the Electro Harmonixthe 12AU7 tube in the SS-X Sound Stage Expander with a Psvane 12au7-s tube. The sound difference between the tubes was absolutely shocking to me. I would have never have dreamed this tube was that important. Right away my Klipsch Heresy IV speakers Became alive with a lot more base immediately. After listening for about twenty to thirty hours I also noticed the sound stage has gotten more dimensional and the music is a little more airy. I don't think I would own any high fi system without using the Black Ice Audio SS-X Sound Stage Expander Because it gives you so much control over your system and expanding your listening. sweet spot. There's a reason why you don't find these online used for sale. For those of you who own the SS-X sound stage expander, this is the tube for you. Like another reviewer mentioned this could be the most important tube in your system.

A real NOS tube slayer!
This Psvane Art Series 12AU7 is the singularly most important tube in my system. It’s sits a top of a Black Ice Audio FOZ SS-X Sound Stage Expander. All audio sources (phono preamp, CD player, DAC) are run through the Psvane 12AU7 before it gets to my integrated tube amplifier. This tube has to be the best of the best, otherwise my system doesn’t sound right. I’ve tried literally dozens of other 12AU7s including a bunch of NOS ($$$) tubes. None of them come close to the clarity, punch and sound stage of the Psvane 12AU7. Highly recommended.
