The KT88-Z features special carbon sprayed smoked glass which helps electrons flow more smoothly and reduces noise. As a part of the treasure series, this is one of the more high-end tubes that they produce. As such, they sound extremely detailed in hifi amplifiers and also work great as a guitar tube.

Wow!
Just put 4 of these in my Rogue Cronus Magnum III and WOW WOW WOW - it’s the best this amp has ever sounded! And they are very quiet, they have my ZU Dirty Weekends sounding so good. Highly recommend.

Superb
This is one of the best KT-88z tubes rather they be current or NOS production. This tube is what I would call the utmost in balance. It does the entire frequency well and is quiet. Let's not forget that it's a damn good-looking tube as well. I think it would serve any application well that calls for the KT-88. Bass, detail, balanced mids, and high frequencies.
